INFLUENCE OF STAKEHOLDERS PARTICIPATION AND MANAGEMENT OF SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL. A CRITICAL LITERATURE REVIEW

Purpose: Solid waste is the remnant of refuse that collected and discarded by public either in a managed system or mismanaged way. It also includes garbage trash which consists everyday items public, for example plastic papers containers, kitchen refuse, market waste. The general objective study was to examine influence stakeholder’s participation management solid disposal. A critical literature review.
 Methodology: paper used desk review methodology where relevant empirical reviewed identify main themes extract knowledge gaps.
 Findings: concludes stakeholders are local national government municipalities; city corporations; non-governmental organizations (NGO's); households, private contractor; Ministries Health Environment. authorities, municipalities, largely responsible Waste Collection chain. Ministry most important stakeholder, followed municipalities councils.
 Recommendations: recommends there should be good drainage proper town planning especially building standards like spacing reserved areas; urban planning, infrastructural maintenance, clearing, channeling; early warning system, reliable forecast, awareness, inspections; community involvement through farming, afforestation, environmental sanitation, stoppage illegal mining; flood protection dams, gabion, digging trenches, water harvesting.
